Lesson 1 – Begin with the End in Mind
The best way to achieve a goal is first to envision it. If you cannot see the end goal, it is much more difficult and abstract to internalize. To that end, we will dive further into the genesis of this curriculum to help you get the vision for your operations.

One of the many concepts you will learn in this course is the Tactical Gap. This is the space between the IC and the crews working, where the division/group supervisors live. This is where the battle is won or lost. As you watch the next video lesson, think of how the Tactical Gap has been present on your fires. We will delve much further into this concept throughout the course.
